]]> After a temporary break from showbiz due to unintended pregnancy, Andi Eigenmann is said to set her comeback as the new “Maria Mercedes”.

The mexicanovela “Maria Mercedes” became a hit series in the 1990′s. It’s Filipino-dubbed version was aired on ABS-CBN at the time when Thalia, the lead actress, became a household name. Arturo Peniche also starred in the hit telenovela.

Rumors have been circulating that ABS-CBN will do a remake of the telenovela and it will allegedly star the young mom-actress Andi Eigenmann. Still according to rumors, it is set to start taping by the 2nd quarter of the year 2012.

To pair up with Eigenmann is Martin del Rosario as the Filipino Jorge Luis del Olmo.
