The Filipina-Mexican singer Jessica Sanchez has made it to the top 3 of the prestigious reality TV singing competition American Idol Season 11.
Joining Sanchez in the Top 3 are Phillip Phillips and Joshua Ledet, after Hollie Cavanagh was voted out last Thursday. Sanchez is actually the second Filipina to make it to the Top 3, following Jasmine Trias of the third season. But unlike Trias, who was negatively criticized by some, Sanchez got the opposite reaction. Some TV critics even predict that Sanchez has a big chance to bag THE American Idol award.
Sanchez’s performance of “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” yet again wowed the audience and the judges. Sanchez even received a standing ovation from the judges Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez.
