Jeremy Renner, Edward Norton and Rachel Weisz to shoot “Bourne Legacy” in Manila | Locations of the Shoot Revealed Here


October last year, Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) head Briccio Santos confirmed that the installment of the highly successful “Bourne” movie will be shot in the country this month. According to Santos, they will be here for 5 weeks.

The “Bourne” franchise is a series of films about fictional CIA assassin Jason Bourne. This includes “The Bourne Identity” (2002), “The Bourne Supremacy” (2004), and “The Bourne Ultimatum” (2007). The fourth installment will be titled “Bourne Legacy” starring Jeremy Renner (as the new CIA operative Aaron Cross), Rachel Weisz and Edward Norton. It will be directed by Tony Gilroy

Santos said that half of the movie will be shot in the country. It will be around different areas in Metro Manila including Intramuros, Navotas Fishport, Ramon Magsaysay Blvd., Ayala Avenue, Nagtahan, Pasay Taft, Marikina City Market, San Andres Market, and Jones Bridge. The locations were revealed by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chairman Francis Tolentino.

The movie is said to start shooting on January 14.

“Bourne” shooting in the Philippines will be a great promotion for the Philippine Tourism.
