The tandem of Bossing Vic Sotto and Comedy Concert Queen Ai-ai de las Alas topped the Metro Manila Film Festival 2011 on its 1st day. On its first day only, they have grossed over P38.5 Million, which is said to be the highest grossing MMFF entry on a 1st day.
This development is not surprising at all. Both the Enteng Kabisote and Ang Tanging Ina Mo where the movie originated were certified blockbuster movies.
The opening day for this year’s MMFF was truly a success. Kris Aquino posted on her Twitter account (@itsmekrisaquino) the list of earnings of the official entries of the MMFF 2011:
1. Enteng ng Ina Mo – P38.5 M
2. Panday 2 – P20 M
3. Segunda Mano – P18.25 M
4. My House Husband: Ikaw Na! – P17.33 M
5. Shake Rattle and Roll 13 – P15.9 M
6. Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow – P10.1 M
7. Manila Kingpin: The Untold Story of Asiong Salonga – P3 M
Awarding ceremony for the festival will be on December 28, 2011 at the Resorts World Performing Arts Theater, hosted by Ai-Ai and Cesar Montano, to be telecast on January 1, 2012, 10:30 p.m., on ABS-CBN Channel 2.
