The Kapamilya network is definitely making some bold modifications in their shows. First was the cancellation of the noontime-show Happy Yipee Yehey!, which will be replaced by Showtime. Now, the Saturday showbiz-oriented talk show E-live bid goodbye, which will be replaced by Showbiz Inside Report this February.
“E-Live” first aired in 2007, and this year would have been their 5th year on the air. The talk show was first hosted by Toni Gonzaga, Bianca Gonzales and Mariel Rodriguez. The three were then replaced by Luis Manzano, Nikki Gil, and Ogie Diaz. Bianca then returned after the defunct Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN).
In their final episode, the hosts became quite emotional. Bianca was not able to hold back her tears especially when her original co-hosts Toni and Mariel also bid their goodbyes. Ogie Diaz, on the other hand, said that whatever E-Live stands for does not stop here, for their friendship (hosts and staffs) will still remain to where it is.
HELLO “SHOWBIZ INSIDE REPORT”
As the saying “when one door closes, another door opens” goes, the ending of E-Live has opened the door for the beginning of a promising show, Showbiz Inside Report. As we can gather from the name itself, it would still be a showbiz-oriented talk show.
SIR will be hosted by Joey Marquez, Janice de Belen, Ogie Diaz and the new Kapamilya, Carmina Villaroel. This would be the comeback show of Carmina after her big move from Kapuso to Kapamilya.
The new show will air on February 4, after HYY.
